SONOCLOT COAGULATION & PLATELET FUNCTION ANALYZER

The Sonoclot Analyzer is a versatile instrument for measuring coagulation and platelet function in whole blood or plasma. It is used worldwide to manage anticoagulant therapy, assess platelet function, control blood product usage, differentiate mechanical versus hemostatic bleeders, identify hypercoagulable and heparin resistant patients, and screen for hyperfibrinolysis. Clinical areas include open heart surgery, liver transplant surgery, vascular surgery, orthopedic surgery, obstetrics/neonate care, cardiology, trauma and hemostasis research.

The Sonoclot Analyzer incorporates Sienco's patented whole blood viscoelastic clot detection mechanism. It provides effective clinical hemostasis management for operating rooms, coagulation labs, STAT labs, and intensive care units.

Each test analysis provides accurate information on the entire hemostasis process including coagulation, fibrin gel formation, clot retraction (platelet function), and fibrinolysis. The Sonoclot Analyzer generates both a qualitative graph, known as the Sonoclot Signature, and quantitative results on the clot formation time (Activated Clotting Time - Onset) and the rate of fibrin polymerization (Clot RATE). The Onset and Clot RATE results are automatically calculated and appear on the LED display and are printed on the hard copy graphic output.

800-2001 SIGNATURE VIEWER™ 3.1 DATA COLLECTION and ANALYSIS PROGRAM

A powerful tool for patient management, clinical trials, and research. Signature Viewer provides ACT, clot formation rate, and clot retraction results. It allows you to manage data effectively and easily. With Signature Viewer, you can collect signatures from multiple Sonoclot Analyzers, overlay multiple signatures for convenient comparison, export results to spreadsheets or databases, browse hemostasis management libraries, export publication quality graphs, and simplify your quality control documentation.

Signature Viewer is both Macintosh and Windows compatible, please contact Sienco for specific minimum system requirements. Licenses for this software are sold in one-copy units. (Sonoclot® Analyzers and personal computer not included.)

Supplies for Running ACTs and Platelet Function Tests

kACT KIT

The kACT Kit is an in vitro diagnostic reagent for use with the Sonoclot® Coagulation & Platelet Function Analyzer System. The kACT test is a kaolin activated whole blood clotting time test. It may also be used with citrated whole blood and plasma.

The kACT Kit is intended for high dose heparin management with or without aprotinin. The kACT test provides quantitative Onset/ACT and Clot Rate results with the Sonoclot Analyzer. The kACT test is not intended for platelet function monitoring.

Available in package sizes of 24 (800-0401) and 100 (800-0400).

gbACT+ KIT

The gbACT+TM Kit is an in vitro diagnostic reagent for use with the Sonoclot® Coagulation & Platelet Function Analyzer System. The gbACT+ test is a glass bead activated whole blood clotting time test. It may also be used with citrated whole blood and plasma.

The gbACT+ Kit is intended for general purpose global hemostasis monitoring including: clot detection, fibrin formation, platelet function, and hyperfibrinolysis. The monitoring information is typically used for anticoagulant management at low to moderate heparin levels (0 to 2 units per ml), hypercoagulable and/or hypocoagulable screening, platelet function assessment, and hyperfibrinolysis screening.

When used with the Sonoclot Analyzer System, the gbACT+ test provides quantitative Onset/ACT and Clot Rate results as well as qualitative and quantitative information on the Sonoclot Signature including: fibrin formation, platelet function, and hyperfibrinolysis.

Available in package sizes of 24 (800-0411) and 100 (800-0412).

NON-ACTIVATED CLOTTING TEST KIT

The Non-Activated Clotting Test Kit contains the necessary components for an in vitro diagnostic test for use with the Sonoclot® Coagulation & Platelet Function Analyzer System. The Non-Activated Clotting Test is the foundation for a whole blood clotting time test. It may also be used with citrated whole blood and plasma.

The Non-Activated kit is intended for customer designed hemostasis monitoring on the Sonoclot Analyzer. The non-Activated cuvette allows for coagulation monitoring using tissue activation, thrombin activation, and other custom activators. Some of the applications for the Non-Activated test with the addition of customer determined reagents are monitoring of fibrin formation, fibrinolysis, hyperfibrinolysis and clot retraction. It is mainly a research tool.

When used with the Sonoclot Analyzer System, the Non-Activated test provides quantitative Onset/ACT and Clot Rate results as well as qualitative and quantitative information on the Sonoclot Signature including: fibrin formation, platelet function, and hyperfibrinolysis.

Available in package sizes of 24 (800-0426) and 100 (800-0425).

SonACT™ KIT

The SonACTTM Kit is an in vitro diagnostic reagent for use with the Sonoclot® Coagulation & Platelet Function Analyzer System. The SonACT test is a celite activated whole blood clotting time test. It may also be used with citrated whole blood and plasma.

The SonACT Kit is intended for general purpose global hemostasis monitoring including: clot detection, fibrin formation, platelet function, and hyperfibrinolysis. The monitoring information is typically used for anticoagulant management up to high heparin levels (0 to approximately 6 units per ml), hypercoagulable and/or hypocoagulable screening, platelet function assessment, and hyperfibrinolysis screening.

When used with the Sonoclot Analyzer System, the SonACT test provides quantitative Onset/ACT and Clot Rate results as well as qualitative and quantitative information on the Sonoclot Signature including: fibrin formation, platelet function, and hyperfibrinolysis.

Available in package sizes of 24 (800-0431) and 100 (800-0432).
